A New Chapter Begins: Renovations and Construction Mark New Year of Growth

Students and staff prepare to return to a transformed building for the 2026–27 school year

There is a lot to be excited about at Goodridge School this fall. After months of construction, renovation, planning, and plenty of hard work behind the scenes, students and staff will soon walk into a building that looks—and in many places feels—brand new. 

Kick off the new school year at Back-to-School Night, Wednesday, September 2nd! Meet teachers, drop off supplies, visit our informational booths in the secondary gym, find classrooms, complete forms and fees, and get ready for a great year ahead!

Students in grades 7–12 may pick up their class schedules and find their locker. Parents and guardians are encouraged to turn in completed forms, pay student fees, and visit with school staff.

Come hungry—the Goodridge School Board will be serving a FREE meal of hot dogs, chips & a treat! 🌭

We can't wait to welcome everyone back to school and celebrate this exciting new chapter together. We look forward to seeing you there!

At Goodridge School, safety remains a top priority. To maintain a secure environment, all exterior doors remain locked during the school day. Visitors must use the front entrance and press the intercom button located to the right of the main doors. Visitors are asked to face the camera for identification. Office staff will either buzz guests in or ask for their name and reason for visiting. All visitors must check in at the office upon entry.

The 2025-2026 District Public Notifications are now posted on the school website at www.goodridge.k12.mn.us. Notices include:

Indoor Air Quality; General Pesticide Notice; PPRA (Protection of Pupil Rights); FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act); Asbestos Notification; Parents’ Right to Know

In accordance with state law, the district also conducts five lockdown drills, five fire drills, and one tornado drill each school year to help ensure the safety of all students and staff.
